My Pure Bliss that True Blood is Almost Back!!
Okay, okay, okay now before I entered the world of Lost, I was rather addicted to an amazinggg show called True Blood.. Ever heard of it?? lol Well anyway, waiting each week for a new episode was the worst thing imaginable.. and it also suckeddd that there were only 12 episodes. But let me say that in just one season that show has me absolutely freakin hooked.
I read the first book, of which the series is based, by Charlaine Harris and I would notttt let myself read the second. I mean even though the show is loosely based on the books, I still feel committed to the show. I wanna see what's gonna happen from the eyes of Alan Ball, the creator, because the mans a friggin genious. Every head of a little show called Six Feet Under!? If you haven't it's def in my top 10 list of tv shows of all time. Ridicously good.
So thanks to True Blood, I watched Six Feet Under (thank god) which led me to Dexter (because Michael C. Hall plays David in SFU and he does such a wonderful job I had to see how he was in Dexter). And Dexter is another show I can promise won't disappoint.
But back to True Blood.. It returns this Sunday, June 14th at 9pm, on HBO. In preperation for this event I just about finished rewatching the first season. I swear I've been so consumed with Lost that I almost forgot how obsessed I am with True Blood. I mean Stephen Moyer as Bill is reason enough to watch it not that there isn't a million other reasons to watch. Now I'm just souped for the season premiere and the second season overall.
Ahh I suggest everyone youtube the promos because they look sickkk. Well, that's it just wanted to let some excitement out. Hope everyone tries to watch!

Lost Rewatch- Season 1 White Rabbit
Well as I said in my last post I'm participating in a lost rewatch with many other lost fans. Today while I was rewatching the first episode of the four for this week I decided to post a few things I noticed in the episode "White Rabbit"
Well that's all for now.. that was fun lol Rewatching these episodes is like a whole new experience.. It's def keeping me going during this hiatus.
THINGS I NOTICED IN WHITE RABBIT (JACK CENTRIC)
-Charlie say's he doesn't swim when clearly he does. He not only swam down to the looking glass station but also said he won some sort of award. One of his greatest moments in the episode "Greatest Hits" was his father teaching him to swim.
- The woman who drowned, Johanna, wasn't supposed to be on the plane (going by what Kate tells Jack) maybe the island disposed of her because it wasn't her destiny to be there.
- the scene where Hurley and Charlie are badgering Jack with questions about the water supply really made me love Charlie and Hurley's dynamic. I'm glad that as the show progressed we get to see how close Hurley and Charlie become.
- Sawyer is reading the book "Watership Down"
-Locke says he knows where to look for water. Is this foreshadowing the time travel or does it hint that Locke might not be who we think he is.. or is it nothing lol who knows! I originally thought it was because he was a trained hunter but with Lost anything can be interpreted differently.
- Jack sees Christian in the Jungle and on the opposite side of him there's a white smoke. I never noticed this before but instead of going towards the white smoke, Jack runs towards his father and almost falls off a cliff. Is this our first glimpse of Jacob versus his nemesis/ good vs. evil? Then Locke appears and helps Jack up. If Locke was already taken over by Jacob's nemesis then why would he lead Jack to the cliff as Christian and then save him? Idk but this was the thing that jumped out at me the most in this episode because I never really gave it much thought until this rewatch.
- When Sayid is questioning Sun about where she got the water he says, "She understands me" this foreshadows the fact that Sun actually does speak English.
- This episode marks the first bits of sexual tension between Kate and Sawyer.. YAY!
- First episode with a reference to Alice in Wonderland
- Locke first speaks the words "maybe this all happened for a reason" (or I think it's the first time he says that lol)
- "I looked in the eye of this island and what I saw was beautiful."
- Locke kind of guides Jack on his path of closure with his father. Locke always seems to be the voice of reason for some of the Losties in the first season. Could he be like Abbadon who's job was to get people where they have to go?
- What gave Christian a heart attack? Was it the drinking or something else entirely?
-Christian leads Jack to water and Jack finds a creepy doll in the water (did we ever find out who that belonged to? Was it one of the kids from the tail sections doll?) Jack then finds the empty coffin so was Christian really leading Jack to the water or to the realization that the body was missing from it's coffin?
- Jack delivers his amazingggggg Live together, Die alone speech.. which we all know is refrenced thoughtout the show. Jack is so strong in his conviction how could anyone not look to him as the leader.
Leave him alone. It's been six days and we're all still waiting. Waiting for someone to come. But what if they don't? We have to stop waiting. We need to start figuring things out. A woman died this morning just going for a swim and he tried to save her, and now you're about to crucify him? We can't do this. Everyman for himself is not going to work. It's time to start organizing. We need to figure out how we're going to survive here. Now, I found water. Fresh water, up in the valley. I'll take a group in at first light. If you don't want to go come then find another way to contribute. Last week most of us were strangers, but we're all here now. And god knows how long we're going to be here. But if we can't live together, we're going to die alone.
Well that's all for now.. that was fun lol Rewatching these episodes is like a whole new experience.. It's def keeping me going during this hiatus.

I'm actually shocked!
I know it's been awhile since I posted but I felt like no one would ever read but the 2 people who left comments on this page have inspired me to perservere! Thank you! As i just noticed this right now, this isn't technically a new post but I have a new found enthusiasm to write in this blog.
Ohh and if you're a Lost fan I strongly advise you got to Lostpedia.com immediatly and start taking place in the huge Lost rewatch the 9 (!!!) fan sites are participating in. They're only on week two so you have plenty of time to catch up. It's awesome though really. Each site is writing a new article about each and every episode with new insight and feedback. It's gonna be the only thing getting me through the hiatus (besides darkufo)
But anyway thanks again to the two people who read this blog and I hope you continue to.

Why Lost is amazing.
Okay so basically I think Lost is the best show on tv today. Honestly, the day I sat down to watch the first season I was blown away. I really had no idea what the hell the show was about except for the fact that they were stuck on the island. Then I finally watched it and I was like "shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit how have I let this show be on for 4 seasons without watching it. Anyway now I'm totally fucking hooked and it's basically something I am constantly thinking about. I mean, the other day I sat at my computer on Dark Ufo for 3 1/2 hours. I didn't even realize. I looked at the clock and was like holy shit it's 3 am. I swear I could read theories without giving any opinion for hours lol. It fucking astonishes me the devotion of Lost fans, I absolutely love it. These people research everything and won't post a theory until they've totally convinced themselves. I still don't have the balls to post one lmao =) It's great though because you can read 20 theories and come up with your own from a combination of each theory. It's just awesome insight.
Why Lost is Amazing.
1. Flashbacks/Flashfowards
2. the fact that the island is a character within itself.
3. the many levels it has reached through out it's 5 1/2 seasons
4. Sawyer
5. they gave us an epic character like Locke
6. how sci-fi it's really become
7. Jacob
8. Smokey and the Statue
9. Ben
10. every unsolved mystery
11. waiting a week for a new episode feels like dying
12. Ben
13. time travel
14. the numbers
15. Richard Alphert and his agelessness
16. Dharma and Dr. Marvin Candle
17. Desmond the game changer
18. It's amazing season finales
19. Walkabout, The Constant, and The Man Behind the Curtain (besides many, many others)
20. the others/hostiles
I'm gonna stop here because I could on forever thinking of every detail of the show and it'll take too long. So I think I'll post 20 at a time and continue the list at another time.
On another note: I'm about to finish Interview with a Vampire and it's an absolutely amazing book. I would recommend it to anybody. I'm also going to read The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned in the next couple of monthes. I'm going to take a breather from the series and read The Ruins by Scott Smith.

Here's a quick summary =):
Trapped in the Mexican jungle, a group of friends stumble upon a creeping horror unlike anything theyve ever known in this national bestseller. A long scream of horror. It does for Mexican vacations what "Jaws" did for New England beaches.--Stephen King
I was told it is one of the best horror books so I wanna see for myself. I'll keep you posted on how it goes ;)
Well thanks for reading (if anyone is) and have a lovely evening

Wow I have a blog!
Well the time has finally come that I got my own blog. I am constantly reading everyone else's blog and seeing there opinions of things I love and never saying my own. Well I'm done with that! I'm the type of person that devotes herself to things she likes. I never just like things though, I become obsessed and consumed by them =) but that's a beautiful thing because life's hard enough without having something you absolutely love. For me, I have many, many things I love and most of them are either television shows or books. TV is my passion because a tv show is kind of like a book. Throughout the seasons, you learn more and more until the very end when everything (usually) comes together to form an amazing, satisfying ending. Don't get me wrong I love many movies. But movies can't always give you the satisfaction that a tv series can. I feel like good movies are easier to come by then good shows so when I find a show that's really that good, I have to know everythinggg. This means I must watch a show from the very, very beginning, I can't miss one episode, and I must watch it in a place where no one will bother, talk loudly, or distract me from what I'm trying to watch lol I must sound totally crazy.. I'm not =) Okay anyway this also means I read threads, blogs, theories, info on the cast, interviews, and any other possible information I can find. I do trivia, take quizzes, and ocassionaly read fan fiction. The one thing I do notttttt do is read SPOILERS! I just will not do it lol. What's the point in trying to spoil the show. I want to see what's going to happen when the writer's decide it's time to show me what happened. I compare spoilers to reading a summary of the Harry Potter series and not actually reading them. WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO DO THAT! In my personal opinion, it's just pointless but whatever it's just my choice. Anyway this blog is going to be primarily about the shows i'm watching and the books i'm reading. Why, do you ask, am I doing this? Because it's my blog and I can =) I will also probably ramble about random things I just feel like rambling about. If anyone ends up reading this, I hope you enjoy my many obsessions and if no one ends up reading this, I'll still ramble. That's all for now! I'm actually quite excited about this.
Coming very soon: a list of my favorite shows
Namaste, Marissa =)
